Dr Steve Phillips EngD MSc BSc PGCert(Eng)MRICS MCIOB MCIArb formed Asset Management Surveyors Ltd in May 1999. Steve has over 30 years experience in the construction industry including approximately 5 years as a site operative both in the UK and abroad. He attended the University of Greenwich where he obtained a BSc Degree with Distinction in Building Surveying and was the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors Prize Winner in 1987. Since then he has obtained an MSc degree in Construction Law and Arbitration from Kings College, London and is a Chartered Building Surveyor (MRICS), Chartered Builder (MCIOB) and a Member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (MCIArb). Steve has a wide range of experience as a Chartered Surveyor in both the Private and Public Sector and during his career he has been the Chief Building Surveyor for a Central London Property Management Company and the Property Services Manager for one of the major Housing Associations. Steve recently completed a Doctorate in Engineering (EngD) at Loughborough University. He was researching ways of evaluating best value tender assessment frameworks and his research work was sponsored by both Martin Associates Chartered Surveyors and the Centre for Innovative Construction Engineering (CICE) at Loughborough. The research output is a software known as OVID-BV that measures Best Value in the Social Housing Sector and Steve was awarded the CIOB FAS International and Innovation Research Award for this work in 2007. |
